Hattusa, the capital city of the Hittite Empire (1800-1200 BC), is a matchless archaeological site on Earth as it is a center of a unique culture.
Being the capital of the Hittite Empire and developed in the field of art and architecture, Hattusa is located in the southeast of the Sungurlu District of Çorum. 5 layers of culture emerged after excavations in the region. Excavations revealed the remains of Hatti, Assyria, Hittite, Phrygian, Galatia, Roman and Byzantine periods in these layers.
